AS PER PROCESS STANDARD
Initial test operations have convinced us. FOGRA51/52 – the new offset standard for coated papers produces the long awaited improvement in handling optically brightened production papers.
New characteristic data are an important precondition. They define the changed key data of the printing color space (full-tone printing colors and degree of whiteness of the paper). Then there are new values for the pressure increase.
In order to objectively consider the effect of optically brightened papers, an analysis under standard lighting conditions with a corresponding UV proportion in accordance with ISO 3664:2009 is needed. Similarly, a colormetrical measurement as per standard M1 is needed for the metrological recording to allow the UV proportion to be taken into account.
